Job summary

Henkel Philippines is seeking a General Accounting Analyst (Payroll & Benefits) to ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll-related financial records within a dynamic shared services environment.

You will collaborate across payroll, benefits and accounting functions, perform month-end close tasks, reconciliations, reporting, and assist audits, while driving process improvements and timely service delivery to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years in General Accounting, Auditing, or related finance roles; 1 year in Payroll Accounting required.
• Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, pivot tables) and SAP knowledge; macros/VBA preferred.
• Strong English communication with North American stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly General Accounting tasks per SLA and resolve requests promptly.
• Complete month-end activities and Balance Sheet reconciliations accurately.
• Prepare and submit required reports on time.
• Support internal and external audits with timely schedules.
• Assist in achieving team objectives and drive process improvements.

About this Position

As a General Accounting Analyst (Payroll & Benefits), you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the company's financial records related to payroll and employee benefits. By helping maintain strong accounting controls and timely financial reporting, you will support sound business decision-making and contribute to a positive employee experience through accurate financial processes.

You will be part of a collaborative finance team that works closely with colleagues across payroll, benefits, and accounting functions in a dynamic shared services environment. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in end-to-end financial processes, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and make a meaningful impact by helping ensure compliance, operational excellence, and high-quality service delivery across the organization.

What you´ll do

• Perform daily and monthly General Accounting tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and resolve requests and inquiries in a timely manner
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end activities and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
• Ensure accurate completion and submission of various reports required to be delivered
• Support in internal and external audit by providing timely audit schedules
• Support execution of team objectives; Initiate and implement process improvements

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy-related courses; CPA licensure is highly preferred
• With at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in General Accounting, Auditing, or other Finance related areas from a multinational or shared service center (SSC) working environment; Having at least one (1) year of experience in Payroll Accounting is required
• Knowledge in intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and pivot tables) and SAP are required; Macros and VBA is highly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (due to direct interaction with North American stakeholders)
• Must be results-oriented, deadline-driven, proactive, high attention to details and with collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Amenable to work on a regular day shift (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and at least five (5) days of night shift (8:00 PM to 5:00 AM) for month-end closing activities and ten (10) days for quarter-end closing activities
