Job summary

STARLIGHT Business Consulting Services, Inc. in Makati City is hiring a General Accountant to manage internal accounting operations across multiple entities. You will maintain books, prepare reports, perform reconciliations, and support tax/compliance while ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting, plus strong Excel skills. It is an onsite, full-time position with 9am–6pm hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience handling accounting for multiple companies or entities is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, AP/AR, and month-end closing.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
• Able to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and integrity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with different departments and Group companies.
• Able to work independently while meeting strict reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions for assigned companies within the Group.
• Prepare journal entries, financial statements, and management reports.
• Perform bank, AP/AR, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Coordinate with external auditors and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
