Job summary

NU Las Piñas in the Philippines is seeking a CPA-preferred Accountant to join our finance team in Las Piñas, Metro Manila. The role focuses on financial reporting, tax, and regulatory compliance, requiring 2–5 years of relevant experience and a BS Accountancy degree.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, tax filings, auditor coordination, and supporting budgeting and planning.

Qualifications

• CPA certification or similar professional qualification preferred.
• BS Accountancy degree required.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, taxation, or external audit.
• Experience with at least two external audit busy seasons is encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management and regulators.
• Manage tax compliance activities, including preparation, filing, and reconciliation.
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee reconciliations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Suggest process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
