Job summary

Ford seeks a technical Senior Cloud DevOps Project Manager to drive cloud operations, automation, and cost optimization in GCP. You will lead development of Python/Java backends and React front-ends, while improving monitoring, security, and incident response across distributed services.

With 7–10 years in IT/IT Operations and certifications in cloud engineering, you will mentor juniors, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with PDO teams to scale performance and availability.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in IT & IT Operations.
• GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional certification preferred.
• 5+ years of software development; 2+ years in GCP or Azure.
• Cloud Operations experience with emphasis on security.
• Strong programming in Python or Java; TypeScript/React skills.
• 2+ years IaC with Terraform and Ansible.
• 2+ years building CI/CD pipelines for IaC/microservices (Tekton preferred).
• 2+ years building SRE platforms with Dynatrace or GCP monitoring suites.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps, IaC, and automation efforts with end-to-end ownership of GCP services.
• Handle a high volume of ServiceNow tickets with triage and prioritization.
• Develop automation playbooks for scheduled shutdowns of hybrid resources to cut costs.
• Enhance Tekton clusters and manage GitHub migrations and subscriptions.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and enforce secure Linux policies in production.
• Design and maintain Python, Java, or React web apps and cloud microservices.
• Build backend services with Python and troubleshoot Maps API integrations.
• Implement cloud-automation tools for self-service and reduced toil; build SRE platforms.
