Job summary

KamelMedia is seeking a Furniture CAD & Technical Documentation Specialist to develop and maintain complete technical-document packages for ready-to-assemble furniture. The role converts designs and production requirements into precise manufacturing drawings, assemblies, schedules, and retailer-facing documents.

You will collaborate with product development, engineering, production, costing, and quality teams, handling junior to senior levels based on depth of experience and independence.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or technical certification in industrial design or engineering.
• Experience producing detailed CAD drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, drilling patterns.
• Ability to interpret product concepts, sketches, BOMs, and production specs.
• High attention to detail and revision control.
• Professional written and spoken English; Danish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for furniture assemblies.
• Produce panel specifications with dimensions, thickness, hole positions, and grain direction.
• Maintain native files and issue controlled PDFs.
• Map drawings into client PDMT-based structure.
• Create and revise colour, hardware, and product variants.
• Create consumer-facing assembly manuals with exploded views.
• Prepare inventories, call-outs, quantities, safety icons, and load-capacity info.
• Prepare cutting lists, BOMs, and production docs.
• Verify drawings against designs, prototypes, and production feedback.
• Perform structured quality checks before release.
