Job summary

ASCENSION PHILDEVELOPERS INC. is seeking a dedicated vehicle driver for mortuary services in the Cordillera region. You will operate and maintain service vehicles, transport deceased from place of death to the mortuary, and ensure respectful handling of remains with accompanying viewing equipment.

You will also assist with viewing, transport of flowers, and maintenance of equipment and records. The role includes vehicle checks, coordination with administration for repairs, driving funeral

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains assigned vehicles for use.
• Operates service vehicle to retrieve deceased from place of death and delivers to mortuary.
• Delivers embalmed remains for outside-chapel viewing with viewing equipment.
• Disinfects vehicles and paraphernalia after each service and delivery.
• Drives funeral vehicles during processions to burial/interment sites.
• Retrieves funeral equipment from viewing and returns to mortuary after service.
• Assists with transporting flowers to hearses and cars for interment.
• Cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles before and after trips.
• Performs routine vehicle checks using BLOWBAG and reports major mechanical issues.
• Coordinates with Administration for minor repairs, and with supervisors for major issues.
• Communicates during First Calls and interments to exchange information and requests.
• Submits written incident reports to Operations Supervisor.
• Assists passengers, ensuring safe entry/exit for immediate families.
• Presents approved trip tickets to Security before leaving premises.
• Returns equipment forms to Property Custodian after deliveries.
• Acts as pallbearer for assigned interments.
• Handles pulling-out viewing lights/equipment and records receipts.
• Reports missing or damaged equipment and ensures accountability.
• Transports complete sets of lights and equipment back to office.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Company Officers and Funeral Directors.
