About the Team & Business Line

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, with a highly respected alternative asset and accounting service. Our investment in learning and technology ensures seamless client experiences. As a key member of our Private Equity team, you will collaborate with industry professionals to deliver top-tier services for complex fund structures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and control the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
2. Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.
3. Handle allocations for limited and general partners.
4. Prepare trial balances and work papers.
5. Review capital activities including calls, distributions, rebalances, and transfers.
6. Calculate fees such as management, admin, waterfall clawback, and carried interest.
7. Manage client relationships and deliverables, overseeing meetings and interactions.
8. Coordinate with senior management and various internal groups.
9. Lead client service planning, budgeting, and onboarding processes.
10. Manage external audit processes.
11. Review partnership agreements and fund materials.
12. Implement fund structures on accounting systems.
13. Coach and develop staff, building infrastructure.
14. Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
15. Review trading and operational processes within the private equity division.

Key Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.).
2. 8+ years’ experience in accounting within financial services, especially Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
3. Skills in negotiation, business planning, budgeting, and technical accounting.
4. Leadership experience managing or leading staff for over 3 years.
5. Strong knowledge of waterfall structures, modeling, and calculations.
6. Proven success in large-scale business or technology reengineering initiatives in relevant sectors.
7. Knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting standards.
8. Experience in reviewing and preparing financial statements and ledgers.
9. Leadership and supervisory skills.
10. Project management skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
