About the Team & Business Line
Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, with a highly respected alternative asset and accounting service. Our investment in learning and technology ensures seamless client experiences. As a key member of our Private Equity team, you will collaborate with industry professionals to deliver top-tier services for complex fund structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and control the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.
- Handle allocations for limited and general partners.
- Prepare trial balances and work papers.
- Review capital activities including calls, distributions, rebalances, and transfers.
- Calculate fees such as management, admin, waterfall clawback, and carried interest.
- Manage client relationships and deliverables, overseeing meetings and interactions.
- Coordinate with senior management and various internal groups.
- Lead client service planning, budgeting, and onboarding processes.
- Manage external audit processes.
- Review partnership agreements and fund materials.
- Implement fund structures on accounting systems.
- Coach and develop staff, building infrastructure.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
- Review trading and operational processes within the private equity division.
Key Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.).
- 8+ years’ experience in accounting within financial services, especially Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
- Skills in negotiation, business planning, budgeting, and technical accounting.
- Leadership experience managing or leading staff for over 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of waterfall structures, modeling, and calculations.
- Proven success in large-scale business or technology reengineering initiatives in relevant sectors.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Experience in reviewing and preparing financial statements and ledgers.
- Leadership and supervisory skills.
- Project management skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
