Job summary

Delegate CX is seeking a DCX Client Services Home-Based Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a USA client. The role emphasizes revenue recognition, cost processing, and monthly closing, with a focus on accuracy, deadlines, and compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate holds a four-year accounting/finance degree and 3+ years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel and NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure all project costs are processed and perform monthly inventories and materials analysis.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of books.
• Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations with follow-up on exceptions.

DCX Client Services Home-Based Accountant is a dynamic and detail-oriented accounting role that is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations. You will apply your professional expertise while resolving a variety of accounting matters and you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our partner's financial operations. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations based on findings.
• Ensure all project costs are processed. Reconcile monthly inventories, and materials analysis as directed.
• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing of books according to the priorities set forth by the Financial Controller.
• Execute bank account and credit card reconciliations with timely follow-up and proper resolution of exception items. Ensure that all Balance Sheet accounts have lead sheets that support their balances and amortizations, if applicable.
• Perform Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation and analysis.
• Explain month over month trends on operating expenses and trends versus budget.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax filings.
• Complete various ad-hoc analyses and projects that may cover financial forecasting, cash planning and margin analyses.
• Participate in meetings to discuss open and emerging business issues and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Serve as lead to other Accountants in absence of Accounting Manager.
• Assist with accounts payable as required.
• Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: 3+ years demonstrated successful experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Language Proficiency: Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Work Schedule: Must be available to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday.
• Technical Skills:
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Demonstrated strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
• NetSuite accounting software experience is strongly preferred.
• Industry Specific Software/Knowledge:
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate competing work demands and maintain composure under pressure.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
• Ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company financial and other information.
• Quality focus and detail oriented.
