Job summary

iACADEMY in Makati City is seeking a passionate Full-Time General Education Faculty member specializing in Social Science. You will deliver engaging lessons, develop course materials, assess student performance, and support academic growth for diverse learners.

The role requires a Master's in Social Science or related field, a Bachelor's in the discipline, 3–5 years of teaching experience, and a Licensed Professional Teacher credential. Onsite work Tue–Sat, immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's degree in Social Science, Education, or a related field.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree relevant to the discipline.
• Must have at least 3–5 years of teaching or industry experience.
• Must have expertise and/or teaching experience in Social Science subjects.
• Strong communication, presentation, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
• Experience in curriculum development and academic assessment is an advantage.
• Must be a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT).

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Social Science subjects.
2. Curriculum Development - Develop and adapt course materials to meet the needs of diverse learners while ensuring that content remains relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with institutional standards and educational goals.
3. Student Engagement - Foster a positive, inclusive, and learner-centered classroom environment that encourages active participation, meaningful discussions, critical thinking, and analysis.
4. Assessment and Feedback - Regularly assess student performance through assignments, projects, examinations, and other learning activities. Provide timely and constructive feedback to support students’ academic development.
5. Classroom Management - Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused, respectful, and productive learning environment.
6. Collaboration - Work closely with fellow faculty members and academic staff to enhance the overall learning experience, share best practices, and contribute to institutional and department-wide initiatives.
7. Professional Development - Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on educational trends, teaching strategies, and advancements in the field of Social Science.
8. Student Support - Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them navigate learning challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
