Job summary

Makati Hope Language and Learning Center, under Makati Hope Christian School, is seeking a Full-Time ESL Teacher to join our team in Pasong Tamo, Makati. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in English or related field, IELTS experience, and strong command of English.

You will teach students from diverse backgrounds and maintain records under the supervision of the Department Head. We value patience, cultural awareness, and the ability to work a shifting schedule, Monday to Friday (8:00–5:42)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field
• Preferably LPT
• Must have relevant experience in teaching/IELTS
• Excellent command of the English language
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications
• Ability to teach students from different backgrounds
• Display patience and cultural awareness

Responsibilities

• Conducting activities and lessons based on ESL teaching methodologies.
• Encouraging and engaging students to speak in English.
• Motivating students and using humor to induce a pleasant learning environment.
• Maximizing students’ talk time through oral tests and presentations.
• Displaying excellent classroom management.
• Keeping accurate records of student performance.
• Communicating with the Department Head or Principal, as needed.
• Maintaining standardized guidelines.
