Job summary

Umpisa Inc., based in Laguna, Philippines, is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced development team. You will work across the full technology stack—from front-end interfaces to back-end systems—to build secure, scalable financial applications.

You will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define roadmaps, engage with the wider engineering organization, and ensure alignment of tech roadmaps across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in application development.
• Skilled in both front-end and back-end (React, Flutter, Node.js, Next.js, Nest.js) technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, and API development.
• Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB) and system integration.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be based/residing in Laguna.

Responsibilities

• Build high quality, fault tolerant systems and products, owning all areas of implementation, frontend, backend, CI pipeline, automated test suites and operations.
• Work with your product owner and business stakeholders to define the product and tech roadmaps.
• Engage with the wider engineering organization, making sure your tech roadmap aligns with the other teams.
• Designing and developing robust and scalable server-side applications.
• Designing and developing robust web and mobile applications.
• Writing reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Implementing and maintaining APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications.
• Integrate APIs with front-end applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshooting and debugging production issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
• Keeping up-to‑date with emerging technologies and trends in software development.
