Job summary

Umpisa Inc. is seeking a backend software developer to implement new functionality, fix bugs, and support releases. You will develop secure APIs and database tables, and work with the Development Lead and Front-end Engineers to design efficient microservices.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain secure APIs and database tables following best practices
Collaborate with Development Lead and Front-end Engineers to design efficient microservices
Participate in Scrum events and ensure code quality and test coverage
Write robust, reusable code and research new libraries via POC builds
Develop API tests for backend services meeting coverage standards
Verify output quality before handover to SIT and UAT
Contribute to banking standards development as needed

Job Summary

Performs back-end implementation of new functionality, programming, bug corrections, release testing, and beta support which may require research and analysis.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain secure APIs and Database Tables following software development best practices
Collaborate with Development Lead and Front-end Engineers to design efficient and re-usable Microservices
Participate with the team on Scrum Events
Demonstrate in writing robust and reusable codes adhering to software best practices and design patterns
Research on the latest software libraries by creating POC builds
Develop API test for back-end services passing code coverage standards
Test quality of output before hand over to SIT and UAT
Problem solving with stakeholders to come up with best approach
Collaborate in development of bank standards as appropriate
Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time
