Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a software developer.
• Strong understanding of web tech, APIs, and databases.
• Proficiency in .NET Core 8–10 (LTS) and MSSQL.
• Experience with modern web UI frameworks like Angular.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Aon products through all SDLC phases from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, testers, DevOps and PMs.
• Contribute to design and architecture of digital solutions.
• Implement, test, and integrate digital solutions with security in mind.
• Participate in architecture, process and quality improvement discussions.
• Stay updated on digital tech trends and opportunities for innovation.
• Support production deployments and ongoing professional development.
• Advocate AI tooling to improve throughput and quality.

What The Day Will Look Like

• Contribute to the design & architecture of digital solutions and recommending the most suitable technologies and frameworks.


• Implement and integrate digital solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards, best practices, and security protocols.


• Contribute to architecture, process and quality improvement discussions.


• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging trends and advancements in digital technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization's digital ecosystem.


• Support production deployments.


• Engage in ongoing professional development.


• Advocate the usage of AI tools to improve software delivery throughput and quality.

Must Have

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


• Proven experience as a developer in the technology industry - minimum 5 years of experience.


• Solid understanding of digital technologies, including web development, APIs, databases.


• Proficiency in programming languages, design pattern frameworks & scripting (e.g. NET Core 8-10 (LTS), MSSQL).


• Experience in modern web UI JS framework (e.g. Angular).


• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).


• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.


• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage numerous projects simultaneously.


• Adaptability and open to new technology as part of application technical stack evolution.

Nice To Have

• CI/CD cloud deployment experience (e.g. Azure DevOps Pipelines).


• Exposure to insurance (eg. placement, policy, claims, underwriting, billing) or the broader financial services systems.


• Understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk, and compliance requirements in regulated environments (e.g. insurance or financial services).


• Experience working in virtual, distributed teams across multiple countries, using modern collaboration and video‑conferencing tools.
