Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Full Stack Data Engineer to design and build a centralized data infrastructure from the ground up, replacing manual processes with scalable databases, automated ETL pipelines, and BI solutions.

You will own the data stack from extraction and integration through modeling, analytics, and visualization, with a strong focus on NetSuite, demand planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database architecture, analytics engineering, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage a centralized SQL database/data warehouse as the company's single source of truth.
• Develop secure, automated, and monitored ETL/ELT pipelines, replacing manual file-based and email-driven processes.
• Integrate NetSuite ERP data, including sales, purchasing, inventory, and supply chain information.
• Build data models and automated reporting to support demand forecasting, safety stock, inventory optimization, and supplier performance.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and S&OP teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Develop enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, semantic models, DAX measures, and Power Query workflows.
• Review and implement demand planning models incorporating seasonality, assumptions, and business drivers.
• Establish data quality, monitoring, documentation, and governance standards.
• Communicate technical architecture and analytical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Job description

We are seeking a Full Stack Data Engineer with a strong builder mentality to design and develop a centralized data infrastructure from the ground up. This role will replace manual and decentralized data processes with scalable databases, automated ETL pipelines, and business intelligence solutions.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will own the data stack from data extraction and integration through modeling, analytics, and visualization, with a strong focus on NetSuite, demand planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database architecture, analytics engineering, or related roles.
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, CPG, or similar environments.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience building data warehouses from the ground up.
• Experience with platforms such as Azure SQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar cloud database technologies.
• Strong programming skills, particularly Python, with experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite data, schemas, Saved Searches, and APIs strongly preferred.
• Advanced experience with Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, analytics, demand planning, and supply chain data.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a 0-to-1, highly autonomous environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business leaders.
