Vertere Global Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of enterprise data pipelines in a cloud data lakehouse.
The role emphasizes Snowflake, ETL/ELT, complex SQL, and Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers. You will build scalable batch and near real-time pipelines, ensure data quality, governance, and performance, and support analytics, reporting, and advanced use cases.
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data pipelines and analytical data solutions within a modern cloud data lakehouse environment.
The role requires strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, ETL/ELT, complex SQL, data transformation, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
The successful candidate will build scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, optimize data workloads, and support analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases.
Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of complex data engineering and analytics solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
Design, develop, and optimize batch and near real-time data pipelines supporting enterprise reporting, BI, and advanced analytics.
Design and implement data solutions using Lakehouse/Medallion Architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT and data transformation processes, including data ingestion, cleansing, validation, enrichment, and transformation logic.
Design and maintain analytical data models, including dimensional modeling and Star Schema.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data processing workloads for performance and scalability.
Work with Snowflake and cloud data platforms to build, optimize, and troubleshoot data solutions.
Assess source systems and data quality, implementing appropriate data validation, controls, and transformation rules.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs, estimates, and delivery plans.
Conduct code and design reviews to ensure maintainability, quality, performance, and adherence to engineering standards.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, preferably in an enterprise environment.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Lakehouse/Medallion Architecture, specifically Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers/zones.
Strong hands-on experience in ETL/ELT and data transformation, including data cleansing, validation, enrichment, transformation logic, and optimization.
Strong proficiency in complex SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Experience with dimensional data modeling and Star Schema.
Experience developing and supporting batch and near real-time data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure and Snowflake.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
