Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to join a leading global technology and engineering company in the Philippines. You will design, build, test, and maintain features across the DeltaV SaaS platform using C#/.NET and front-end tech, while modernizing systems and ensuring quality through automated testing and CI/CD.

You will collaborate with product and design teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and apply AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years in software development with full-stack web exposure.
• Strong C# / .NET and front-end with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Relational DBs, SQL queries, performance troubleshooting.
• Can navigate codebases and deliver features independently.
• Experience with automated testing, version control, CI/CD.
• Excellent analytical and collaborative communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain features across the DeltaV SaaS SCADA industrial software platform, covering the user interface, backend services, APIs, and database components.
• Enhance and support web applications using modern front-end technologies while contributing to the ongoing modernization of existing systems.
• Build and maintain scalable server-side applications, RESTful APIs, and service integrations using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while supporting automated testing and quality assurance initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues across multiple application layers, including production and customer-facing environments.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, QA engineers, UX designers, architects, operations teams, and domain experts to deliver effective software solutions.
• Participate in solution design, estimation, and code reviews to improve software performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows for source control, release management, backlog tracking, and team collaboration.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to assist with coding, testing, documentation, analysis, and troubleshooting while ensuring output quality.
• Contribute to Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and team reviews.
• Take ownership of the software delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-release support.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by balancing new feature development, bug fixes, technical debt reduction, and platform enhancements.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands‑on industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience developing software applications, with substantial exposure to full‑stack web development in production environments.
• Strong background in building applications using C# and the .NET framework, along with front‑end development using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience working with relational database systems, creating SQL queries, and troubleshooting performance or data-related issues.
• Proven ability to navigate and enhance existing codebases while independently delivering features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Hands‑on experience with automated testing, code reviews, version control systems, and continuous integration practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing modern web applications with React and maintaining legacy applications built with Backbone.js and Marionette.js.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, including query optimization, stored procedures, schema management, and database development.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, work item tracking, and automated quality assurance processes.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, documentation, and software quality.
• Background in developing server‑side applications for IoT or industrial technology solutions using .NET and C#.
• Understanding of secure software development practices, application security, identity management, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
• Exposure to industrial automation, SCADA systems, telemetry, IoT/IIoT platforms, or other operational technology environments.
