Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a Chemical Lab Analyst to lead routine and advanced testing for fuels, lubricants, and related fluids. You will interpret results, ensure ISO 17025/9001 compliance, and prepare clear technical reports.

The role requires a B.Tech or Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology and 2–4 or 7–13 years of hands‑on experience, with strong knowledge of ASTM/ISO/SAE standards and proficiency with LIMS, MS Office, and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology required.
• Experience: 2–4 and 7–13 years in relevant testing roles.
• Perform routine and advanced testing of fuels, lubricants, transmission oils, hydraulic oils, greases, coolants, water, and gaseous fuels (CNG/CBG).
• Conduct specialized analyses including PIONA, sulfur determination, gas composition, moisture, viscosity, fuel dilution, ion chromatography, elemental analysis, and grease characterization.
• Interpret laboratory results, investigate OOS findings, identify trends, and provide technical recommendations on fuel quality, lubricant condition, and equipment health.
• Prepare accurate test reports, technical summaries, and documentation.
• Ensure ISO 17025, ISO 9001, laboratory quality systems, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain lab records, SOPs, calibration, and sample traceability.

Responsibilities

• Interpret lab results and investigate out-of-spec findings.
• Provide technical recommendations on fuel quality and equipment health.
• Prepare test reports and technical summaries with clear documentation.

Required Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ASTM, ISO, IS, SAE, and OEM testing standards.
• Sound understanding of fuel properties, lubricant chemistry, and tribology principles.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical reporting tools.
