Job summary

Smart Apartment Data is seeking a Training & Performance Specialist to help frontline team members build stronger skills and improve performance. You’ll work closely with employees to understand gaps and provide practical coaching that elevates their work.

You’ll support both new employees learning the role and existing team members who need targeted development, with a focus on coaching, performance metrics, and effective feedback.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in employee training or performance coaching.
• Hands-on experience training frontline/production employees.
• Experience with new-hire training, refresher training, or uptraining.
• Strong ability to diagnose why someone is struggling, not just repeat instructions.
• Comfortable using performance metrics to guide coaching.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Warm, approachable communication style.
• Experience in contact center or similar environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate training for new team members and help them become confident in their work.
• Provide refresher training and targeted coaching to existing employees.
• Identify the specific knowledge, skill, or performance gaps affecting an employee.
• Adjust your coaching approach based on what an individual needs to improve.
• Demonstrate processes, observe employees performing them, and provide actionable feedback.
• Use performance results and feedback to identify areas where additional training is needed.
• Track employee progress and determine whether coaching or training has produced improvement.
• Review training content and recommend improvements when materials are unclear or ineffective.
• Support both voice and non-voice teams.
