Job summary

Pareto AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to partner with frontier labs and own RL environments end to end. You will scope requests, build images and tools, write graders, and ship reliable solutions in production.

You will work across delivery, product, engineering, and ML teams to influence the roadmap while maintaining production health and customer satisfaction. This role requires travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related analytical discipline.
• Proficiency in Python, Typescript, or functional languages.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Fluent, high-leverage use of coding agents and ability to review outputs.
• Outstanding communication and analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to visit customer locations (Business trips to California).
• Having the legal right to travel to the US.
• Demonstrate strong ethics and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Leverage innovative thinking and engineering expertise to address AI challenges for clients.
• Build and ship environments: layered container images, MCP tool servers, agents, and graders for customer platforms.
• Own production deliveries: investigate failures, stabilize pipelines, write runbooks, and implement fixes.
• Invest in the platform: automated image builds, release notes, CI gates, and reusable design practices.
• Collaborate with delivery, product, engineering, and ML teams to influence the product roadmap.
