The Frontend Engineer is responsible for building user-facing digital experiences that power Newport World Resort’s enterprise-wide Digital Products & Platforms (DPP) ecosystem.
This role develops and maintains responsive, high-performing interfaces across core product domains, Customer Acquisition, Marketing Engagement, Service Operations, and Data Enablement, ensuring intuitive customer journeys, strong reliability, and alignment with product & UX standards.
The Frontend Engineer works closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA teams, and backend developers to deliver scalable features and enhancements across web and mobile-web interfaces
Develop responsive, modular, and maintainable UI components.
Implement features across customer-facing and internal tools (e.g., acquisition flows, sales team platform, promo journeys, service portals).
Ensure cross-device compatibility (mobile web, desktop).
Optimize application performance (loading speed, rendering, bundle efficiency).
Maintain reusable component libraries and design-system-aligned interfaces.
Work closely with DPP Product Managers to refine requirements and identify edge cases.
Collaborate with backend engineers on API consumption, integration patterns, and data flow.
Partner with UX/UI to translate designs into pixel-perfect, user-friendly interfaces.
Write clean, testable code following engineering best practices.
Support QA teams in test scenario identification and automation enablement.
Fix bugs, manage technical debt, and improve system reliability.
Support deployments, release cycles, and production incident troubleshooting.
Recommend improvements to architecture, UI frameworks, and coding approaches.
Track emerging frontend technologies and propose practical applications.
Contribute to internal engineering documentation and knowledge sharing.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
3–6+ years of experience in frontend engineering or web application development.
Proven track record delivering production-grade web or mobile web applications.
Experience working in cross-functional agile delivery teams.
Integrated Resort industry background is an advantage.
Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React) and hosting platforms (e.g., Vercel)
Skilled in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design patterns, and component-based UI architecture.
Familiarity with API integration patterns including REST and GraphQL, with event-driven is a plus.
Experience with build pipelines, version control, and CI/CD workflows.
Understanding of accessibility, usability, and performance optimization.
Ability to debug complex frontend issues across browsers and devices.
Experience with analytics instrumentation and event tracking is an advantage.
