Job summary

Spinneys Philippines is seeking a skilled Fishmonger to join our retail team. You will ensure quality, freshness, handling and presentation of seafood while delivering excellent service to customers.

Responsibilities include preparing and filleting fish, maintaining cleanliness and safety in the seafood area, and assisting customers with product information and recommendations. Weekend and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fishmonger or Seafood staff is preferred.
• Knowledge of seafood handling, preparation, and storage is advantageous.
• Customer-oriented with good communication skills.
• Willing to work on weekends and shifting schedules.
• Physically fit for a chilled seafood environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, cut, and fillet fish and seafood according to standards.
• Ensure seafood is fresh, properly handled, stored, and displayed.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in the seafood section.
• Assist customers with product information and recommendations.
• Monitor product quality, inventory, and stock rotation.
• Ensure displays are attractive, labeled, and organized.
• Follow policies on food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.
• Support daily seafood section operations and related duties.
