Job summary

LCC - Liberty Commercial Center Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Fresh Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the fresh food section, ensuring products are fresh, well-stocked, and merchandised to optimize sales and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a small team, monitor quality and hygiene, coordinate with suppliers, manage inventory (FIFO), train new staff, handle customer inquiries, and prepare reports on sales and staffing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience in retail or fresh food handling preferred.
• Knowledge in food safety standards and handling perishable goods.
• Good leadership, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Customer-focused with strong communication abilities.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Excel, inventory systems).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in the fresh section (fruits & vegetables, meat, seafood, deli).
• Ensure all fresh products meet quality, freshness, and safety standards.
• Oversee handling, storage, rotation (FIFO), and display.
• Lead and motivate staff to meet productivity and service standards.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely ordering to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Conduct regular quality checks and remove expired or damaged items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards in accordance with health regulations.
• Train and guide new staff in handling and presentation of fresh products.
• Attend to customer inquiries, requests, or complaints professionally.
• Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling shrinkage.
• Coordinate with suppliers or receiving team regarding product deliveries.
• Prepare reports related to sales, inventory, and staffing.
