Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in freight dispatching and logistics coordination.
• Proven carrier-side experience in freight booking and dispatching.
• Experience using DAT, Truckstop, or similar load boards.
• Hands-on experience hunting, sourcing, and booking freight.
• Experience working with brokers, including carrier packets and rate confirmations.
• Ability to evaluate loads for profitability and practicality for the carrier.
• Strong understanding of driver schedules and carrier operations.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage documentation related to freight, including rate confirmations and dispatch-related documents.
• Review and evaluate loads based on rate, route, timing, and practicality.

• Handle carrier packets, rate confirmations, and dispatch-related documents.
• Coordinate loads and schedules with drivers.
• Communicate and negotiate with brokers.
• Monitor booked loads from pickup through delivery.
• Organize and track loads using Trello and internal spreadsheets.
• Identify and avoid undesirable loads.

• Experience working with brokers, including carrier packets and rate confirmations
• Able to evaluate whether a load is profitable and practical for the carrier
• Strong understanding of driver schedules and carrier operations
• Strong English communication skill

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience working directly on the carrier side, rather than only on the brokerage side, are preferred.

Candidates should be proactive freight hunters who can independently find and secure loads, manage the booking process, and make decisions with a carrier-focused mindset.
