Job summary

Shopee Philippines seeks an experienced SP&A leader to guide and develop the team, prioritize work, and build analytical capability.

You will drive analyses on performance drivers, unit economics, market trends, and strategic initiatives, translating data into actionable recommendations for senior management. This role requires on-site presence in Manila.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in top-tier management consulting or investment banking.
• Advanced financial modeling and what-if scenario analysis.
• Business owner mentality; identify leakage and pivot to drive growth.
• Mastery of Excel; SQL familiarity is a plus for BI data access.

• Lead, coach, and develop the SP&A team; set priorities, review work quality, and build analytical capability.
• Allocate team capacity across planning cycles and ad hoc business requests.

Business analysis

• Drive analyses on key business topics, such as performance drivers, unit economics, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
• Translate complex data into clear findings and actionable recommendations for senior management.
• Support strategic planning, target setting, and forecasting processes.

Cross-functional collaboration

• Work with business, operations, finance, and product stakeholders to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Align on priorities, define success metrics, and track follow-through on agreed initiatives.

Reporting and insights

• Oversee the preparation of recurring and ad hoc reports with key updates and insights.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data and reporting for management reviews.
• Standardize and improve reporting processes and dashboards.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or investment banking. We value the "structural thinking" and "first-principles" approach typical of these environments
• Advanced financial modeling is a baseline. You should possess the ability to build "what-if" scenarios that account for competitor moves and macroeconomic shifts
• A "Business owner" mentality. You don’t just report numbers; you identify leakage, propose pivots, and drive the business forward
• Mastery of Excel is required; familiarity with SQL is a significant plus for navigating our BI data infrastructure
• A degree in finance, economics, or engineering from a top-tier global or local university
• This position requires you to be on-site in Shopee PH
