Patra Philippines LLC seeks an FP&A Analyst to provide core financial planning and analysis support to the Director, FP&A, covering budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and variance analysis for the US finance calendar.
The role is hands-on and deadline-driven: you own reporting packages, maintain models, and translate results into clear explanations. Strong Excel and AI tool experience are essential.
About the role
The FP&A Analyst provides core financial planning and analysis support to Patra's Director, FP&A, covering the recurring budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and variance analysis work that drives Patra's management reporting cycle and business partnering. The role is hands-on and deadline-driven: the analyst owns the preparation of scheduled reporting packages, keeps the underlying models and data accurate, and turns results into clear explanations of what happened and why. This role supports the US finance calendar, so the ability to work US Eastern Time hours is essential.
Key responsibilities
Monthly reporting: Support the preparation, maintenance and synthesis of the recurring monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including departmental and service line reporting, and deliver them on the published close and reporting calendar. Demonstrate ownership of the reports and data being presented.
Budgeting and forecasting: Support the annual budget and the periodic reforecast cycles: build and update the supporting schedules, load and reconcile inputs, roll forward assumptions, and track submissions from budget owners through to a complete consolidated plan.
Variance analysis: Conduct actual versus budget, forecast and prior period variance analysis; identify the drivers behind each material variance, work with business and department leaders to confirm root causes, and draft written commentary that accompanies the reporting package.
Models and data integrity: Maintain revenue, headcount, and operating expense schedules and the models that support them; reconcile reporting outputs back to the general ledger and to source systems so that reported results tie and are audit ready.
Ad hoc analysis: Prepare ad hoc analyses, schedules and supporting exhibits requested by the Director, FP&A and Executive leadership, including client and service line profitability, cost analysis, and decision support for specific business questions.
Process improvement: Identify and help implement improvements to recurring reporting and forecasting processes, including the use of AI tools, in collaboration with Accounting, Operations and other functional areas, with the goal of shortening reporting and analysis cycle time and reducing manual effort while improving accuracy.
Partnering: Coordinate with the Accounting and Operations teams during close to obtain the inputs the reporting cycle depends on, and elevate issues that put a reporting deadline at risk.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
2-5+ years of hands-on FP&A experience (budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis). Adjacent corporate finance, audit or accounting experience is also valued.
Demonstrated experience preparing recurring management reporting packages under a deadline-driven monthly close calendar.
The ability to work US Eastern Time zone hours is essential for this role.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including building and auditing multi-tab financial models, lookup and aggregation functions, and pivot tables.
Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and the accuracy of deliverables.
Strong working knowledge of accounting concepts and budgeting principles, and of the KPIs and metrics that drive business performance and the factors that influence them.
Expertise in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports, statements and projections.
The ability to communicate data-supported financial results and performance clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally, to finance and non-finance stakeholders in another time zone.
Accuracy and attention to detail, with the discipline to check and reconcile work before it is issued.
