Job summary

Manulife Financial Corporation seeks a Finance FP&A professional to deliver accurate financial data production, reporting, and forecasting for GWAM FP&A. You will consolidate information from stakeholders, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, and decks, and support annual planning processes.

The role emphasizes process improvement, cross-functional collaboration with Asia and North America teams, and the use of Power BI, Power Apps, and Anaplan.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a finance role; Wealth and Asset Management experience is a plus.
• Experience in automating processes is a plus.
• Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills; ability to succinctly engage with business partners and team members.
• Power BI knowledge, Power Apps and Alteryx knowledge are advantage skills.
• Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of the business environment and financial reporting structure to provide value-added analysis.

Responsibilities

• Actively involved with consolidating, analyzing, and synthesizing large amount of financial and non-financial information from various stakeholders.
• Prepares high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards and presentations for stakeholders of GWAM FP&A.
• Prepares Monthly/Quarterly Management Decks, WAM MIS Report, Quarterly Forecasts from different business segments.
• Prepares and maintains templates of report packages, highlight key issues, and proactively seek resolutions.
• Improve and re-engineer reporting processes to create consistency and efficiency in month-end and quarter-end cycles.
• Supports the annual consolidated planning process, including trends, projections, and presentation decks.
• Initiates improvements by exploring, identifying, and implementing reporting, analysis, and process solutions.
• Works closely with North America unit and MBPS FP&A teammates to ensure smooth reporting and planning, including ad hoc requests.
• Conducts deep-dive training and cross-training to build back-up capacity during planning cycles.
