As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in supporting safe and efficient warehouse and production operations by operating electric forklifts to move materials throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will include loading, unloading, lifting, stacking, and transporting pallets, raw materials, components, finished goods, and other materials between designated storage, warehouse, production, and dispatch areas.

You will be responsible for ensuring that materials are handled safely and stored correctly, maintaining proper stacking practices and following established material‑handling procedures. Prior to operating equipment, you will carry out daily pre‑use inspections of the forklift, including checks of brakes, tyres, forks, steering systems, batteries, and safety warning devices, ensuring that all equipment is safe and fit for operation. You will also follow approved battery charging and handling procedures to maintain equipment reliability and workplace safety.

In this role, you will be expected to comply with all workplace safety requirements, including traffic routes, speed limits, PPE regulations, and material‑handling standards. You will promptly report any equipment defects, battery issues, accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions to support a safe and compliant working environment.

You will maintain accurate records of forklift inspections and material movements while working closely with warehouse, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials throughout the operation. In addition, you will be responsible for keeping both the forklift and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions, contributing to high standards of housekeeping, safety, and operational excellence.

In addition, you will support equipment reliability and operational safety by preparing monthly preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance reports, as well as incident and equipment‑related reports.

You will coordinate and support inspections conducted by external agencies, regulatory bodies, or certification authorities, ensuring that all findings, observations, and recommendations are properly documented, communicated, and followed up with appropriate corrective actions.

Through proactive maintenance reporting and inspection management, you will contribute to continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and the safe operation of material‑handling equipment and warehouse facilities.

Your profile
  • Completed 12th Standard (Higher Secondary Education).
  • Minimum age of 25 years.
  • Valid Indian LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Driving Licence.
  • Physically fit and medically capable of operating an electric forklift safely and efficiently.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience operating forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material‑handling environment.
  • Basic understanding of safe material‑handling practices and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements, PPE usage, and forklift operating procedures.
  • Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance issues.
  • Responsible, safety‑conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and operational procedures.
  • Willingness to work shifts and support operational requirements when needed.
  • India's NSDC lists Forklift Operator/Driver (ASC/Q9707) as an NSQF Level 4 qualification
