Job summary

Our Clients in Cebu is seeking a Forex Trader within Treasury & Portfolio to execute FX trades and manage client relationships. The role requires monitoring market trends and coordinating with back-office to ensure accurate settlement and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (4-year) and at least 1 year in banking/financial services, plus a CTP designation. The position offers a hybrid setup in Cebu with dayshift hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in banking/financial services.
• CTP designation required.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, economic indicators, and BSP regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute foreign currency buy and sell transactions to maximize portfolio value.
• Prospect, build, and maintain client relationships through self-generated leads.
• Monitor live FX levels, rate movements, and market trends to advise on entry/exit points.
• Coordinate with Forex Back Office to streamline trade execution and settlement.
• Ensure compliance with BSP FX rules and guidelines.
• Attend industry seminars and training to upgrade currency market expertise.
• Perform trading-related tasks and operations as assigned by the Forex Department Head.

Key responsibilities

• Execute foreign currency buy and sell transactions efficiently to maximize portfolio value.
• Prospect, build, and maintain client relationships through self-generated leads and cross-departmental leads.
• Monitor live foreign exchange levels, rate movements, and global market trends to advise the Head Trader on optimal market entry and exit points.
• Coordinate directly with the Forex Back Office to streamline trade execution, documentation, and settlement processes.
• Ensure full operational alignment and adherence to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) foreign exchange rules and regulatory guidelines.
• Attend industry seminars, workshops, and training to continuously upgrade currency market expertise and technical trading skills.
• Perform additional trading-related tasks and operational duties as assigned by the Forex Department Head.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree graduate of any 4-year course.
• Work Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience within the banking or financial services industry.
• Certification: Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is required.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, economic indicators, and BSP regulations.
