Job summary

Firesprings Consulting, Inc. in the Philippines seeks an R&D Specialist to support development, validation, and scale-up of products across the lifecycle.

You will perform formulation, prototyping, testing, documentation, and pilot production under the R&D Manager’s guidance to ensure technical soundness and regulatory compliance for commercial production. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in R&D, product development, or food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of product formulation, testing methods, and scale-up processes.
• Experience in beverage, fruit juice, and/or UHT (Ultra-High Temperature) product development.
• Familiarity with HACCP, FDA requirements, and food safety systems is an advantage.
• Experience in sensory evaluation, lab testing, and pilot production trials preferred.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic technical reporting tools.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new products and processes from concept to commercialization
• Ensure proper execution of product prototyping, testing, and scale-up activities
• Contribute to improvement of existing products and processes under the product lifecycle
• Ensure complete and accurate technical documentation of all R&D activities
• Provide technical support for production, QA, marketing, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality systems, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, Halal)
