Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking a Trading role for candidates in the Philippines. The incumbent will serve as a back-up trader, execute primary trading tasks, and generate income from trading activities for institutional and retail clients.

The role also supports Treasury Marketing and acts as primary dealer for client orders. The successful candidate will maintain portfolio inventories, ensure accurate deal entry in front-office systems, and prepare materials for committee meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; fresh grads welcome

Responsibilities

• Trading as back-up trader and perform primary trading duties
• Generate income from trading activities for the bank's clients
• Support Treasury Marketing and act as primary dealer for client orders
• Prepare/update portfolio inventory and mark-to-market reports for management information
• Ensure timely capture of deals in Treasury front office systems and other applicable systems
• Prepare materials for treasury committee meetings regularly
• Read daily economic updates to stay informed on market conditions and regulatory issuances
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Trader

Key Responsibilities:

• Trading
• 1. Acts as a back-up trader and be able to perform the primary trading responsibility.
• 2. Generate income from the trading activities with the Bank's institutional and retail clients.
• B. Support to Treasury Marketing
• 1. Acts as a primary dealer in the execution of purchase and sales order from the Bank's institutional and retail clients.
• C. Compliance / Support Functions
• 1. Prepare/updates portfolio inventory and mark-to-mark reports for management information support.
• 2. Ensures the timely and accurate capture of all deals in the Treasury front office system and all other applicable systems.
• 3. Prepare materials for committee meetings on a regular basis.
• 4. Reads daily economic updates to keep oneself updated of the current market conditions and regulatory issuances.
• 5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Trader.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree holder - open to fresh grads with courses of: Management Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Management of Financial Institutions, Physics with Minor in Finance
• For experienced candidates - preferably with work experience in any bank or financial institutions
• Basic knowledge on fixed income securities, with sound macroeconomics knowledge
• Advantage to have: Treasury certification, SEC license
