Job summary

UnionBank is seeking a Fixed Income Specialist-UFSI to execute and manage fixed income transactions, deliver market insights, and support fixed income product governance within Wealth Management. The role focuses on compliant execution, counterparty relationships, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of fixed income industry experience.
• Regulatory certifications (SEC Fixed Income, BAP Treasury Certification Program) preferred.
• Experience using Bloomberg or similar platforms for fixed income trade execution.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, fixed income products, wealth management, and applicable local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless execution, booking and reporting of fixed income brokerage transactions with strict compliance to external regulation and internal processes and guidelines.
• Remain abreast of fixed income market intelligence, investment strategy and research to deliver actionable trade ideas and investment opportunities to the Sales team.
• Ensure good working relationships with counterparties and work with the Risk officer to ensure limits for each counterpart are updated and suitable.
• Responsible for submission of due diligence requirements of existing and new Fixed Income counterparties.
• Supports the Fixed Income Product Manager for launching of new fixed income product categories and end-to-end onboarding of new Fixed Income securities and counterparties.
• Leads the dissemination and tracking of Corporate Actions (ex coupons) to sales team and clients.
• Continuously reviews and recommends improvements in fixed income order process.
