Job summary

OSM Maritime Services, Inc. is seeking a Fitter (FTR) for worldwide at-sea assignments. You will perform welding, cutting and fabrication, maintain pipelines and ship structures, and support deck and engine room equipment in daily operations.

Candidates must have seagoing experience as a Fitter, strong welding and gas-cutting skills, STCW certificates and good English. This is a contractual, at-sea position with an accommodation vessel and global deployment possibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous seagoing experience as Fitter, preferably on tankers.
• Strong welding and gas-cutting skills for steel fabrication.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness.
• Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed crew.
• Safety-conscious with a hands-on, teamwork attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting and fabrication as instructed.
• Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, supports and ship structures.
• Assist with maintenance of deck and engine room equipment when required.
• Follow safety procedures, hot work permits and ensure a clean work area.
• Support emergency repairs and drydock jobs as needed.
