Job summary

GCash is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive app modernization and governance. You will shape the strategy, define roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams from engineering to business units to deliver scalable, compliant fintech solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in software engineering or cloud-native roles, with deep experience in microservices, containers, and cloud platforms. A strong grasp of DevSecOps and observability tools is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, mobile development, or cloud-native architectures.
• Proven experience in modernizing mobile applications (Flutter, Kotlin, Swift, or React Native).
• Strong knowledge of microservices, API gateways, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and related services.
• Understanding of app security best practices, compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, GDPR), and DevSecOps principles.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership & Strategy - Defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for GCash App Modernization & Governance.
• App Modernization & Technical Leadership - Leading the transition from legacy architectures to modern, scalable solutions.
• App Governance & Compliance - Defining and enforcing app governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security frameworks.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management - Working with engineering, QA, DevOps, and business units to ensure smooth execution of modernization initiatives.
• Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and aligning priorities and business impact.
