Job summary

Mynt, the company behind GCash, is seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Head to guide end-to-end accounting for the parent company and subsidiaries. You will lead a high-performing team, translate complex financial data into actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, and operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
• Proven experience in process improvement, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in corporate initiatives such as M&A, investments, and audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Revenue, Expense, General Ledger, and Bank Accounting functions.
• Lead preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements for the parent company and subsidiaries in compliance with PFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve accounting policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (BSP, BIR, SEC) and manage audit observations from internal and external audits.
• Drive financial reporting excellence by implementing standardized processes and reconciliation frameworks, maintaining an audit-ready environment.
• Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and insights to support strategic decisions of senior management.
• Support corporate initiatives such as mergers & investments and corporate projects.
