The Program Manager – FP&A serves as a senior finance business partner for R1 RCM Philippines, owning the monthly financial close cycle support, headcount and OpEx forecasting, and financial reporting for Voice Operations, Clinical Operations, and Corporate support functions. The role is a primary point of contact for Operations, HR, IT, Procurement, and Real Estate leaders on all budget, headcount, and cost matters, and prepares the financial reviews presented to PH, India, and US leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Month-End Close and Flash Reporting
- Partner with Controllership on BD-1 to BD-6 close activities, including P&L flash preparation, closing status review, and validation of accruals and un-posted entries.
- Prepare and distribute the high-level and detailed OpEx and headcount flash comparing expected actuals against Plan and Rolling Forecast, with commentary on key drivers.
- Conduct cost-center-level OpEx reviews to ensure expenses are correctly charged and lead pre-hard-close P&L reviews with CSG, HR, IT, and Corporate department leaders.
- Refresh the PH monthly P&L post hard close and prepare full-year latest estimates for use in monthly financial calls.
2. Planning, Forecasting, and Long-Range Planning
- Prepare headcount input and forecast templates for quarterly Rolling Forecast and Annual Plan cycles, using the latest compensation master and validated assumptions.
- Facilitate headcount and cost forecast discussions with Voice Operations, Clinical Operations, and Corporate leaders, and consolidate inputs into the forecast template.
- Track Long-Range Plan (LRP) initiatives, monitoring progress, financial impact, and risks through bi-weekly connects and PMO calls.
- Prepare capacity outlook — actual seat utilization and rest-of-year projection based on the latest estimates.
3. Headcount, Workforce, and Compensation Analytics
- Publish the Workday headcount report to Controllership and business leaders on the 10th, 21st, and month-end, and maintain the weekly headcount cadence with India FP&A.
- Provide leaders allocation and QVI/EWF budget based on the 21st headcount base.
- Supply banded compensation and benefits data for Power BI refresh in partnership with India FP&A.
4. Governance, Controls, and Approvals
- Review and approve Workday job requisitions, promotions, and cost center movements against approved plan, escalating unplanned items for leadership alignment.
- Review Operations purchase requisitions for budget validity (QVI, EWF, or other funding source) and secure approvals for unbudgeted spend.
- Validate quarterly QVI payouts, cross-skilling incentives, and QVI initiative budget.
- Maintain the PH cost code and finance business partner mapping to ensure accurate.
5. Financial Reviews and Business Partnering
- Prepare and present monthly financial reviews for the Corporate Group, PH ManCom, India leadership, Global Ops Finance, and the enterprise monthly operating review.
- Act as finance business partner in recurring Operations, HR, IT, CSG, and PMO connects, covering open items, action plans, staffing changes, and LRP initiatives.
- Develop cost-benefit analyses and business cases supporting operational investments, site expansion, and rate card or pricing reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in FP&A covering budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior operations and corporate stakeholders in a shared services, BPO, or multinational environment.
- Strong working knowledge of month-end close, variance analysis (actual vs. budget and forecast), and headcount-driven cost modeling.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; working experience with Oracle (GL and Procurement), Workday, and Adaptive Planning or a comparable EPM tool.
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver executive-level financial presentations.
