Job summary

Moneybacker is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely insights for strategic decisions. You will also guide talent acquisition and development within the finance team and partner with leadership on financial planning.

You will oversee reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, cash flow, and reporting processes, maintain QBO reports, and present clear financials to executives while supporting growth and strong internal controls.

• QBO experience is required.
• Accounting or business courses are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and onboarding of tax and AR specialists with alignment to organizational needs.
• Create training materials, guides, and FAQs for ongoing learning and onboarding.
• Develop team capabilities through continuous learning and weekly 1on1 sessions.
• Identify skill gaps and provide training to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.
• Promote accountability and ownership while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead and review bank, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee service fee processing and proper recording and reporting.
• Monitor Daily AR Aging Report to track collections and cash flow.
• Ensure accurate processing of AP, AR, and payroll.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports with transparency.
• Maintain QBO Reports and present financials to executives.
• Gather data for management meetings to review performance.
• Manage daily cash flow and forecast payments and funding actions.
• Implement controls to safeguard assets and optimize working capital.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Development

Financial Operations & Controls

• Lead and review reconciliation processes, including bank, intercompany, and general ledger accounts.
• Oversee service fee processing and ensure proper allocation, recording, and reporting of related transactions.
• Monitor and review the Daily Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging Report to track collections and cash flow.
• Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions.

Reporting & Strategic Analysis

• Supervise and approve the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and transparency in financial reporting.
• Maintain QBO Reports.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports to executive leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Gather financial data for any scheduled meetings with management to review financial performance or discuss concerns.

Cash Flow Management

• Manage the company's daily cash flow to make sure funds are available for business needs, payroll, and other obligations.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and develop strategies to optimize working capital.
• Implement controls to safeguard company assets and cash reserves.
• Prepare and update the Daily Cash Balance Report by consolidating all bank and cash accounts and recommend transfers, investments, or funding actions when necessary.
