Job summary

AS White Global in the Philippines seeks a Financial Controller to lead reporting, governance, and control for an Australian workplace solutions group. You will partner with senior leaders, oversee month-end close, statutory reporting and audits, and drive commercial performance.

This role is based in Manila with hybrid work after probation; CPA preferred and 5+ years in a similar role. Knowledge of IFRS and Australian standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce/Business; CPA preferred
• At least 5 years as Financial Controller or similar
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, statutory reporting and taxation
• Experience preparing management reports, board reporting, budgets, forecasts and cash flow
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience; Pronto exposure

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, governance and control functions; ensure accuracy of financial information
• Manage month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, audits and compliance with Australian requirements
• Prepare executive/Board reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and commercial analysis
• Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic insights and recommendations
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, payroll governance, rebates and financial risk
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, controls and automation
• Lead and develop the Finance and Administration Officer and team
• Support strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives

What You’ll Do

• Lead the organization's financial reporting, governance, and control functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, statutory reporting, external audits, and compliance with Australian financial and taxation requirements.
• Prepare executive and Board-level financial reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and commercial performance analysis.
• Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic business insights and recommendations that support operational performance.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, payroll governance, rebate management, and financial risk management across the business.
• Drive continuous improvement by enhancing financial systems, reporting processes, internal controls, and automation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Administration Officer while fostering a collaborative, high-performing finance team.
• Support strategic projects, business planning, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen organizational performance.

Key Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline; CPA is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years' relevant experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, statutory reporting, taxation, external audits, and financial compliance.
• Proven experience preparing management reports, Board reporting, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and commercial financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience using ERP systems; exposure to Pronto is highly regarded.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, influence, and build strong relationships across executive and operational stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Work setup

• Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian business hours (6:00AM–3:00PM PHT); full-time onsite during probationary period of 6 months, and transition to hybrid setup of 3x onsite and 2x Work-From-Home afterwards.
