Job summary

ANZ in Manila seeks a Finance professional to safeguard financial information through accounting, reporting and balance sheet control. You will join the Financial Control community, ensuring governance, regulatory compliance, and timely, reliable reporting for onshore teams.

Role responsibilities include end-to-end centralized processes, month-end outputs, and supporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accounting, Finance and Commerce or equivalent degree
• Preferably Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA with proven experience in Finance services roles
• Solid working knowledge of financial control within a financial services environment
• Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with automation, data analytics, or digital tools such as Python, KNIME, VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar technologies is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Supporting the finance function, with a focus on delivering the accounting and reporting services to support the onshore teams including the provision of accurate and timely financial and local regulatory information and ensuring that all processes and reporting obligations are adequately met
• Managing end-to-end centralized, country-agnostic processes (e.g., journals, reconciliations)
• Developing deep process expertise while remaining flexible across various statutory & reporting and controls center of excellence functions
• Ensuring "quality at source" through strong process-level controls
• Supporting centralized data sourcing, accounting, and reporting services for in-country finance teams
• Supporting the implementation and ownership of centralised, standardised processes and controls within the Insto team
• Delivering timely month-end outputs including registers, schedules, reconciliations, and trial balances, ensuring readiness for financial reporting and audits
• Supporting the BU change agenda, including simplification, automation, and elimination of manual activities in partnership with the FSDI team

What will your day look like?

In particular, this role is responsible for:
