The Finance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Company's financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining effective internal controls, lead and manage a team of finance analysts who supports financial operations by processing transactions, managing data, preparing reports ensuring accuracy on actual sales and collections and daily/monthly month-end closing that act as a bridge between records and actual transactions.
Tasks and Job Responsibilities:
1.Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and manage finance analysts, providing guidance, mentorship and support
- Assign work, monitor progress to ensure timely preparations and submission of reports.
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement within the department.
- Escalates all issues to top management and provide recommendation or solutions
2.Transaction Processing
- Process transactions in Operations Department – sales, premium collections, document issuance and generating reports thereafter.
3.Data Management
- Collect, organize, and maintain financial and operating data, documents, invoices and receipts.
4. Financial Reporting
- Review and prepare daily, monthly, weekly, or ad-hoc financial and operating reports ensuring accuracy against actual transactions in sales and collections.
5.Analysis and Budgeting
- Prepare special reports, assist with report analysis, financial forecasting, identifying financial trends, and supporting cost-benefit analyses.
6.Daily and Month-End Close
- Support the daily and month-end close process by ensuring timely posting of transactions.
7.Compliance and Audits
- Help prepare data for simple operational audits and process reengineering.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in Business Administration preferably in Accounting, Management Accounting or related field
- Minimum of Five (5) years of related work experience
- Good leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Access.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the company.
