What is the job?

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the finance and accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity, accurate reporting, effective cash flow management, and sound financial planning. The role provides strategic financial insights to leadership while managing accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, financial controls, inventory accounting, and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage accounting personnel, including internal and outsourced resources, while overseeing the transition of outsourced finance functions in-house.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and annual business planning processes.

Manage financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, bank reconciliations, asset registers, depreciation schedules, and compliance.

• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, AP, AR, collections, invoicing, payments, commissions, and employee reimbursements.

• Manage supply chain cost information, including supplier costs, currency exchange, and transportation expenses.

• Prepare KPI reports, dashboards, and financial analyses, evaluating business trends, COGS, gross margins, and budget performance to support decision-making.

• Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and process improvements, while partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams on financial and business systems initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant financial management experience.

• At least 2 years of leadership experience overseeing finance teams and internal/outsourced resources.

• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, inventory accounting, and cost management.

• Proficient in AP, AR, collections, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.

• Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, or similar platforms, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Proven ability to develop and implement financial policies, processes, and internal controls, while providing strategic financial recommendations to leadership.

• Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a stable employment history and the ability to work independently.
