The Finance Manager role involves supervising and guiding your finance team through the full accounting cycle, providing hands-on mentorship to develop their skills and professional growth. You will become the primary subject matter expert by developing a deep understanding of the company's and client's financial systems, reporting tools, and operational workflows. You will oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial data and reports, build and maintain strong relationships with the team, cross-functional departments, and stakeholders, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships and resolving issues effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide your finance team through the full accounting cycle, providing hands-on mentorship to develop their skills and professional growth
• Proactively identify and mentor potential successors to ensure continuity and a strong talent pipeline within the team
• Develop a deep understanding of the company's and client's financial systems, reporting tools, and operational workflows
• Actively promote continuous process improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure all financial processes, from journal entries to client reporting, are properly documented and standardized
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial data and reports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, cross-functional departments, and stakeholders, showcasing leadership in regular weekly and monthly meetings
• Oversee the maintenance of client financials, guaranteeing they are complete, accurate, and readily available for review
• Conduct financial analysis and develop recommendations for client reports, adapting to specific reporting requirements

About you

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant finance or accounting experience
• At least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role that includes mentorship
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, XERO)
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards (e.g., PFRS, PAS)
• Proficient in financial accounting software and Microsoft systems
• Meticulous, detail-oriented approach to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions and reports
• Proven ability to evaluate current financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective, data-driven solutions
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven record of leading and inspiring a team
