Job summary

Quest Hotel & Conference Center Cebu is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to provide leadership in accounting and finance. The role supports the Financial Controller and/or acts as the head of finance in FC's absence, ensuring timely, accurate reports to executives and regulators.

Responsibilities include coordinating audits, supervising staff, reviewing contracts and purchasing, and maintaining compliance across government reporting and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Preparation and review of financial reports for FC, GM, and Corporate Office.
• Ability to oversee finance and accounting in the absence of the FC.
• Experience coordinating audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• In the absence of the Finance Controller, assume responsibilities.
• Train subordinates and establish a training calendar.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and regulatory reporting.
• Review supplier contracts and purchase cycles.
• Monitor licenses, permits, and insurance requirements for hotel operations.
• Ensure timely reporting to social security, tax, and regulatory agencies.
• Review expense reports of ExCom members with GM.
• Manage credit facilities and maintain compliance with policies.
• Maintain par levels, inventories, and value supplies for disposal or resale.
• Verify bank deposits and resolve cash vault discrepancies.
• Oversee agency selection for foreign exchange services.
