Job summary

Michael Page seeks a seasoned finance leader to head a large team and drive reporting excellence across a multinational environment based in the Philippines. The role oversees external reporting, governance, statutory compliance, and stakeholder engagement with regional leadership exposure and a hybrid work model.

You will lead 50-60 professionals, shape IFRS compliance, manage audits, drive process improvements, and partner with auditors.

Qualifications

  • Senior finance leader with 12–15 years in statutory compliance or controllership.
  • Experience in multinational shared service, global business service, or centre of excellence.
  • Big4 experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead external reporting, governance, and statutory compliance across multiple countries.
  • Ensure timely delivery of financial statements, statutory filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee accounting balances, reconciliations, and statutory audit activities.
  • Act as primary liaison for auditors and external stakeholders.
  • Drive governance, risk management, internal controls, and process improvements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise on compliance implications.
  • Support system integrations, process migrations, and finance transformation projects.
  • Manage escalations and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 50–60 professionals.
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and service-excellence initiatives.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, statutory filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee accounting balances, reconciliations, and statutory audit activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison for auditors and key external stakeholders.
  • Drive governance, risk management, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on compliance implications.
  • Support system integrations, process migrations, and finance transformation projects.
  • Manage escalations and ensure effective stakeholder communication and issue resolution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 50 to 60 professionals.
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and service excellence initiatives across the function.
The Successful Applicant
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in statutory compliance, controllership, or a related finance leadership role within a multinational shared service, global business service, or center of excellence.
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience managing and developing large teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
