Job summary

The role also covers statutory reporting, audits, governance, and involvement in system transformations like the Voyager program and SAP changes, ensuring data integrity and adherence to controls.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Finance Controller, you will apply technical reporting expertise to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial and statutory statements. This role is vital for maintaining a fair representation of month-end results and ensuring all accounting processes comply with IFRS standards and internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Operations: Support key processes including month-end and period-end closes, journal entry preparation, and the posting of accruals.
• Statutory Compliance: Manage statutory and transfer pricing processes, ensuring reporting for relevant legal entities is completed accurately and on time.
• Audit & Review: Prepare balance sheet reviews, year-end statutory adjustments, and financial statements while monitoring for any account inconsistencies.
• Governance: Adhere to internal controls and CARM (Compliance and Risk Management) standards to ensure data quality and risk mitigation.Project-Based Accountability
• S ystem Transformation: Support the "Voyager" program by participating in UAT testing, data cutover activities, and reconciliation.
• Process Adaptation: Update working files and internal processes to align with incoming SAP changes.
• Issue Management: Actively flag and help resolve system issues by collaborating with Superusers and project team members.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Professional Qualification: Must be a Qualified Accountant.
• Experience: 3–4 years of experience in accounting, ideally within an international or multicultural environment.
• Accounting Standards: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, local financial reporting, and general accounting principles.Risk Management: Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and professional ethics .
• Analytical Ability: Advanced analytical skills with the capacity to understand the "big picture" and communicate complex financial messages clearly.
• Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
