The Bookkeeping Head is responsible for overseeing all bookkeeping and accounting activities within the organization. This role ensures accurate financial recordkeeping, compliance with relevant regulations, and timely preparation of financial report. The bookkeeping head provides leadership to the finance team and supports management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.

DESCRIPTION

• Supervise and manage all bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and internal records
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review
• Monitor and maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
• Lead, train, and mentor the bookkeeping team to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Implement and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
• Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and other financial professionals as needed
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support budgeting and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
