Job summary

HRTX is establishing a Finance Automation CoE in Asia to drive efficiency through Alteryx-based solutions across finance and actuarial functions. The role leads the Alteryx CoE team, collaborating with finance, IT, and ALM to deliver streamlined processes and faster closes.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in IT with a leadership background, strong data analytics, and experience in ETL and SQL. Proficiency in Alteryx Designer and familiarity with SAP/Hyperion are preferred for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-8 years of IT experience including 2+ years in a leadership role with automation and analytics focus.
• Strong understanding of data analytics, ETL, and database management.
• Proficiency in Alteryx Designer and other automation tools.
• Experience with SQL and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze finance processes and lead Alteryx-based automation initiatives to improve efficiency and close timelines.
• Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows for data consolidation, journal entries, reconciliation, and actuarial processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on Alteryx best practices; run training sessions for Finance/Actuary/ALM teams.
• Collaborate with IT for data governance and system integration; ensure smooth operation of Alteryx solutions.
• Create documentation and dashboards to monitor benefits and performance of automation efforts.

About the job Finance Automation Specialist

Finance Enablement Team is building the Center of Excellence (CoE) implementing and developing the solutions using the newly authorized tools Alteryx for the automation or other Finance operation efficiency requests related to the faster close project initiatives.

This role is responsible in building and leading the Alteryx CoE team for Asia Finance and will be crucial in driving operational efficiency across our finance departments through the implementation and optimization of Alteryx solutions instead of reliance on implementation partners or external consultants.

• Analyze the process flows of local BU finance operation and reporting team or Actuary team, leading the development and implementation of Alteryx-based solutions to enhance financial or actuary processes (e.g. manual journal entries, reconciliation processes, data consolidation and allocation, or actuary modelling)
• Collaborate with finance team/actuary team to identify areas for process improvement and automation opportunities. Design, develop and maintain complex Alteryx workflows to streamline financial operations, to achieve time saving, operational efficiency, faster closing processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Finance/Actuary/ALM members on Alteryx best practices and advanced techniques. Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to improve Alteryx proficiency across the Finance/Actuary/ALM
• Work closely with IT to ensure proper data governance and integration with other systems. Act as the system supports role for the tools built by Alteryx and ensure smooth operation
• Develop and maintain documentation for all Alteryx processes and workflows
• Building proper intake process and cost and benefit analysis for the Alteryx-related automation solutions. Establishing dashboard in monitoring the benefits of the Alteryx solutions on finance operational efficiency and faster close

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in IT, including 2+ years in a leadership role, with a focus on process automation and data analytics
• Strong understanding of data analytics, ETL processes, and database management
• Proficiency in Alteryx Designer and other relevant automation tools
• Project management experience, preferably in an Agile environment
• Proficiency in Alteryx Designer and other relevant automation tools
• Strong understanding of financial processes and data structures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with SQL and database management
• Strong communication in English and needs to communicate directly with the finance users (including Finance, ALM, Actuary) in resolving the operational requests and automation requirements using the Alteryx

Preferred Qualifications:

• Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced Certification
• Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages
• Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion and other financial software
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
