JS Unitrade Merchandise, Inc. seeks an experienced Accountant to maintain the integrity of financial records, prepare journal entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts. The role supports month-end and year-end close activities and ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and audits, and contribute to process improvements in the general ledger function. Onsite in Ortigas City.

Job Summary

The position is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the organization's financial records. This role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. He/she collaborates with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and audit requirements and plays a key role in identifying process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the general ledger function.

Technical Skills

• General ledger expertise: strong background in journal entries, Balance Sheet account reconciliations, accruals, amortizations and provisions.
• Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

• Clear in explaining technical issues to non-Finance stakeholders.
• Works effectively with cross-functional teams.

Behavioral Traits

• Detail oriented and accurate. High commitment to accuracy in reconciliations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, CPA is required.
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) preferred.
• At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in general ledger, reconciliations, or financial reporting, preferably in FMCG or distribution industry, audit firm, Finance shared services company.
• Willing to work onsite in Ortigas City.
