Emerson Asia Pacific Private Limited is hiring a Field Service Engineer to deliver overhaul, testing, and troubleshooting of Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) at workshops and customer sites across the region.

You will engage with customers, service teams, and sales partners to ensure safe, efficient operations and high-quality outcomes, while traveling as needed to support field assignments and site audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, repair, testing, or overhaul in industrial environments.
• Reading and interpreting technical documents and reports.
• Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhaul, maintenance, inspection, assembly, testing, and repair of PSVs in workshop and customer sites.
• Conduct pop testing, calibration, setting and functional testing of PSVs per procedures.
• Generate and maintain job cards, worksheets, service reports, and related documentation.
• Document service findings and update records promptly.
• Identify replacement parts and advise on repair solutions for PSV maintenance and reliability.
• Conduct site walkdowns and asset audits to assess valve conditions and improvement opportunities.
• Perform onsite overhaul services, valve commissioning, and testing activities.
• Support witnessed testing with customers, inspectors, and third-party representatives.
• Collaborate with Sales and Asia Pacific Lifecycle Services for technical support during customer visits and site audits.
• Support training sessions and technical workshops for customers and lifecycle services.

Job Summary

If you are a Field Service Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will provide overhaul service, technical, testing, and troubleshooting support for Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) across workshop and field environments. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will work closely with customers, service teams, and sales partners to deliver high-quality solutions, support operational excellence, and drive customer satisfaction.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform overhaul, maintenance, inspection, assembly, testing, and repair of Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) in workshop and customer site environments.

• Conduct pop testing, calibration, setting, and functional testing of PSVs in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

• Generate and maintain job cards, worksheets, service reports, and related documentation in the system.

• Document service findings and update records accurately and promptly following service activities.

• Identify replacement parts, recommend repair solutions, and support customers with technical guidance related to PSV maintenance and reliability.

• Conduct site walkdowns and asset audits to evaluate valve conditions, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or replacements.

• Perform onsite overhaul services, valve commissioning, settings adjustment, and testing activities.

• Support witnessed testing activities involving customers, inspectors, and third-party representatives.

• Collaborate with Sales and Asia Pacific Lifecycle Services teams to provide technical expertise during customer visits, site audits, troubleshooting activities, and solution development.

• Support Asia Pacific Lifecycle Services in customer training sessions, seminars, technical workshops, and engagement events.

• Provide service support at customer facilities, including embedded service locations not limited to Jurong Island and Pulau Bukom.

• Support local and overseas service assignments as business needs arise.

• Ensure service work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer expectations and delivery commitments.

• Assist with urgent collection and delivery activities when required to support customer operations.

• Promote a strong safety culture while adhering to Emerson and customer site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

• Experience in field service, maintenance, repair, testing, or overhaul activities within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, process, or related environment.

• Working knowledge of mechanical equipment, valves, pressure relief devices, or similar industrial products.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and reports.

• Strong customer focus, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work with digital service management systems.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and support field assignments as required.

• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
  

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience servicing, testing, or maintaining Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs).

• Knowledge of valve inspection, maintenance, and reliability practices.

• Experience conducting site audits, equipment assessments, and technical troubleshooting.

• Exposure to customer-facing service and lifecycle support activities.

• Knowledge of refinery, petrochemical, power, or related process industries.

• Experience supporting customer training, technical workshops, or engagement events.
