Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Metering Testing & Diagnostics Engineer based in Tagum City, Philippines. This staff-level role focuses on field audits, testing, and detailed analyses of power meters, non-power meters, and instrument transformers to ensure accuracy and system integrity.

You will work with the North Davao Engineering Support Department to deliver results, grow your skills, and contribute to energy transformation in a purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
• Entry-level position (No prior professional, leadership, or project experience required).

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection, testing, and auditing of power meters, non-power meters, net metering devices, and instrument transformers in accordance with the ERC In-Service Meter Testing Plan.
• Conduct complex technical analyses including vector diagram analysis, wiring connection troubleshooting, insulation testing, turns ratio testing, and burden testing to diagnose issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate and complete preparation and submission of Field Testing Reports (FTR) signed by customers, and generate supporting documentation for the Metering Testing and Rehabilitation Plans.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project completions and resources for scheduled account inspections, collaborating closely with fellow team members and supervisors
• Facilitate essential administrative and safety compliance tasks, such as requests for payments, purchase orders, liquidations, material requisitions, 5S standards, and adherence to ISO IMS and Asset Management Systems (AMS)
