Job summary

World Vision is seeking a Field and Emergency Communications Specialist for the Mindanao Field Office, based in Davao City. The role focuses on gathering and delivering evidence-based, child- and community-focused content that supports humanitarian programming and fundraising efforts.

You will work with Operations, HEA and Resource Development, produce timely field content, and travel within the country as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications or Journalism or equivalent.
At least 3 years in a similar position or capacity.
Preferably with industry experience in news/media, advertising, and/or NGO humanitarian work.
Experience with NGO/humanitarian work during disasters or emergencies is highly preferred.
Strong analytic, reporting and presentation skills.
Strong media engagement and ability to handle intense media interactions.

Responsibilities

Gather field and emergency communications content to support ministry, public engagement and fundraising goals.
Coordinate with Content Flow, StoryHub, wvrelief.net and other platforms to deliver content.
Collaborate with Operations, HEA and Resource Development to gather ministry and fundraising content.
Assist the Field & Emergency Communications Officer in field content and disaster-related communications.
